Perhaps it is an awakening of our dormant sense and lack of inventions, but Nigeria’s junior soccer team (the golden eaglets) won the world cup in 1985, Nigerians came together as one in celebrating this intrepid deed. People of all ethnic groups, both sexes, and every economic class marveled at their strenght, courage, and sense of purpose in their accomplishments. Since then, there have been very few (if any at all) national celebrations that brought the entire nation as one.
