In Christianity.
The students of the Bible have wildly divergent opinions about the number of important covenants that exist (or were in existence) among God and humankind and God, with figures ranging between one and at most twelve.
The most significant characteristic we find throughout the Bible is covenants. Covenants are not contracts as we view contracts in the present although there are some similarities. A covenant is basically the same thing as a relationship, however, it’s a formalized relationship. been formalized and subject to sanctions, or sanctions as it were. Therefore, there are blessings that can result if the covenant is maintained, but there are consequences when the relationship is breached, and a covenant is just the conditions of the relationship.
This was a typical characteristic of the ancient Near East in the way nations managed their relations with one another, and God in His kindness and his condescension, so that we comprehend what He is doing, took this form and applied it to define the relationship we have with Him as He is the king of all and He has created a bond with Himself.

The covenant is established with Israel in the first place, followed by the personal covenant that was made with David as well as the new covenant made public in the prophets and is fulfilled through Christ. These covenants serve as a means to help us comprehend how we are relating to God and how He is able to relate to us.
The covenants aren’t identical, even though they’re all interconnected. A key part of understanding how the Bible connects is knowing the ways in which the various covenants God has made are either built on each other and meet each other in different ways or are distinct from each other and introduce something completely new.

The Mosaic covenant is mentioned in several locations in the Quran to remind the Jews who comprised two tribes who lived in Medina during the times of Muhammad.
