Arthur Eze was born on the 27th of November 1948, in Ukpo village in Dunukofia local Government Anambra State, Nigeria. He is known as “Prince Arthur Eze’ because he comes from the royal family, and his older brother is the leader (King) of Ukpo Village.

Atlas Oranto Petroleum was founded by Arthur Eze in 1991. The company has 22 licenses to operate oil and gas across 12 jurisdictions in Africa. It holds properties that are located in Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and a number of Atlas Oranto-operated blocks. As of today, Atlas Oranto is the largest owner of exploration blocks for oil in Africa.

Atlas Oranto has regional offices and representatives in key investment destinations within West Africa with its technical base in Lagos and its head office located in Abuja. The chairman decided to choose Abuja as the headquarters of the company so that the executives of the business can directly communicate with African policymakers in the region. The Eze family holds the majority of the company’s stock, and all shareholders are part of the business’s operations.
