He is best known for his roles in The CW series Arrow as John Diggle / Spartan, Anton Briggs on the Showtime TV series Dexter, and the 2009 film Mother and Child as Joseph. Being an accomplished martial artist, he has a black belt in Jeet Kune do.

And has studied boxing and Taekwondo and trained in kickboxing under Benny “Jet” Urquidez. He has played the character John Diggle / Spartan in four different series: Arrow (2012), The Flash (2014), Supergirl (2015), and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (2016).
