After these television shows, he got attention nationally after he played a grandson in the film The Princess Bride which was aired in the year 1987. the following year 1988, he appeared on the wonder years where he played kelvin, Arnold. the made him have fame due to his best acting. He got two golden globe nominations and two Emmy nominations for outstanding lead actor in comedy series. Fred was at the age of 13 years when he received this great honor. he appeared on that show till it ended in the year 1993.
