Club career

In 2014, he signed for Udinese from Slavia Prague for a reported fee of €700,000. He did not even make his league debut for the team and went on loan to Serie B side Ascoli in 2015. Jankto made his career league debut for Ascoli in a Serie B 1-0 home victory over Virtus Entella on September 15, 2015. Sampdoria then revealed on July 6, 2018, that he had joined the club on an initial loan deal with an obligation to make the transfer permanent for €15 million. He scored on his debut for Sampdoria in a 1-0 Coppa Italia victory over Viterbese on August 12, 2018. The club then made the transfer permanent.

Jankto later signed a 2-year deal with La Liga club Getafe CF on August 20, 2021. On August 10, of the next year, he went back to his home country after joining Sparta Prague on a one-year loan contract.
