Who Is Louie Giglio?

Louie Giglio is an American Baptist evangelical Christain pastor and the leader of Passion City Church, which is located in Atlanta, Georgia. Furthermore, he is the founder of the Passion Movement. He is also an author and Public Speaker.

He started a weekly Bible study known as Choice at Baylor University in 1985. After a few years, over 10% of the Baylor students were attending the weekly gathering. Moreover, his heart for the significance of the “university moment” was set.  Louie was encouraged to launch a nationwide meeting of college students on a flight from Texas to Georgia around that time, which would later become Passion Conferences.

The first Passion Conference took place in 1997 in Austin, Texas, and drew around 2,000 university students. Passion has continued to hold regular conferences for college students in the United States and around the world since then. In addition, Giglio was a former member of North Point Community Church before founding Passion City Church. in addition, he founded a record label by the name of Six steps Records.

Some of his books include, Not Forsaken, Goliath Must Fall, Indescribable: 100 Devotions About God and Science, The Air I Breathe: Worship as a Way of Life, and I Am Not But I Know I Am: Welcome to the Story of God are some of Giglio’s books. Not Forsaken, Giglio’s most recent book, debuted at number three on Publishers Weekly’s Trade Paper Frontlist and was ranked number six on the Religion Nonfiction bestsellers list in May 2019. Louie’s previous release of Goliath Must Fall made the Publishers Weekly bestseller list in May 2017. Among the top 100 bestselling Christian books it was ranked 31st.
