In addition to Atypical and CBS’s Murphy Brown, he has also had notable appearances in Netflix’s Trinkets, TBS’s Angie Tribeca, Comedy Central’s Idiotsitter, Freeform’s Kevin from Work, and NBC’s The Prayer. Moreover, Nik appeared in the Ben Stiller-produced Netflix film Alex Strangelove, Joshua Leornard’s independent film Dark Was the Night, opposite Charlie Plummer and Marisa Tomei. He also appeared in the Sony Pictures thriller Escape Room. Nik joined the cast of Hannah Mark’s feature film Mark, Mary & Some Other People in February 2020. He went on and joined another cast of Stephen Chbosky’s film adaptation of the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen as Jaren in August 2020. The character was re-conceived as “Jared Kalwani” to celebrate Nik’s casting. From October 19, 2021, to November 27, 2021, he made his Broadway debut as Ogie in Waitress (musical).
