Nigeria must choose between guns or butter. Nigeria is a wealthy sleeping giant, it may be stirring now, but it has not yet awakened but believe me, the world will see Nigeria when it is awakened.
The world admires people who rise above adversity hence the world and the people of Nigeria will admire Nigeria if the country rises above the current economic/political adversity. The nation wants leadership that delivers — good not bad fortune.
The nation and its people must live within their means because if they do not, there will not be any choices left. Government is supposed to be used to enhance personal freedom for the people not private wealth for the leaders. To lead is not just giving eloquent speeches it is by providing the most potent and effective leadership.
Nigerians must not be satisfied with success for success’s sake and the people must not be discouraged by failure because failure can be sad but the most potent sadness is not to try and fail but to fail to try.
A leader with a commitment to excellence must tell the people not to be afraid to walk a path that has not been already paved. Self-satisfaction is the key to happiness.
