Reasons And Results
We can all make excuses, there are no exceptions. Never matters what, though, results count more than excuses or reasons. We can put reality off, sure, indeed though, time does not play favorites, especially with those who procrastinate on their dreams, or find weak excuses “not to do it”. Only genuine results count, and every effort must be made to achieve those results or we are guilty of “trying to circumvent time”.
A personal story: When my Dad lost his foot in 1979 and thought diabetes was going to take his life then, it changed his reality in the sense that he did more with me in that twelve years of life until 1991 when he died than he would have done if he were given a hundred extra years of existence, life and extra youth.
With the above said, no matter how we try to trick, circumvent or play games with time. Time and reality are always catching up with us in a straightforward and steady way.
So, think about this fact, the very concept of procrastination is the ultimate destructive confidence game we play on ourselves if we are not careful, honest with ourselves and conservatively realistic with what we really want in life and existence.
So that brings me to the concept of reasons (excuses) and results (cause and effect itself). The big question you should ask yourself as I ask myself all of the time is: What would I rather have or deal with, reasons (excuses) or results (actual cause and effect)? Oh, it is a hard question to consciously pose to yourself, but it is always needed in every way because at a very deep level of the subconscious mind it comes up to the conscious mind anyway sooner or later, so it really is now or never in every way. Reality comes down to cause and effect, never excuses. Action and thinking on your feet in the now really is what it comes down to. Excuses and blaming is the weakness that never works. The measure of a successful consciousness is action. The measure of a consciousness that fails is excused.
We all must choose what we do with our lives, pursue reasons or make results. That is it. Reasons are promissory debts and results are full of cold, hard cash in hand. I can only end with these words: Think, Act and then Generate results!
