Walmart to ditch degree requirements for hundreds of corporate jobs to help eliminate ‘unnecessary barriers’
No degree, no problem!
That is what Walmart is telling candidates interested in many of its corporate positions.
The retailer plans to rewrite hundreds of job descriptions for corporate job titles, it said in a post on its website.
Applicants can have either a college degree or show they have the necessary skills through prior experience.
“While degrees should be part of the equation and in some cases even required, there are many roles where a degree is simply unnecessary, including at corporate headquarters,” Lorraine Stomski, Walmart’s senior vice president of associate learning and leadership, and Julie Gehrki, vice president of philanthropy, wrote in the blog post.
While major corporations in the world and especially in the United States of America are eliminating university degree requirements for management jobs to help eliminate barriers for applicants, Nigerians are busy spending time and resources to ascertain if their Leadership diploma is fake or fraud, instead of spending their time and resources to make the leadership to roll up their Sleeves and Work to give the people of Nigeria Light ( electricity ), good roads, water, food, manufacturing companies, infrastructure, etc. Get this – Na only GOD go do am ooooo. That is why you have ” men off GOD ” predicting about who will be the next President but not when Nigeria will no longer have telephone network problems and have a solid infrastructure. What a country.
The current President of Brazil ( 2023 ), President Lula da Silva only read up to the fourth grade in elementary School ( Primary 4 ), and one of the best presidents in the United States of America, President Harry Truman only read up to the secondary school ( High School ) level. Please kindly ponder on that – knowledge hidden in Plain sight but open to all those who can take the time and trouble to look for it, mankind suffers from willful ignorance.
